SOON...Columbus Celebration of Tampa, Inc., is conducting a candidate search for its 2008 Queen Isabella Coronation, to be held ___TBA___ at the ___TBA___ This nonprofit organization was formed in 1959 to promote the achievements of Christopher Columbus and the Italian/Spanish heritage.

The selected Queen and Court shall represent the organization in parades and at civic and cultural events throughout the city.  There is no talent or beauty judging; the Queen is selected by random drawing (lottery).  The selected Queen will receive an academic scholarship!

Ladies encouraged to apply should be between the ages of 15-21, single, never married, no children and attend local high school, colleges, or technical schools.  Candidates should also maintain a good academic record, exhibit personal confidence, charm, and attractiveness.

An applicant should submit a recent photograph, along with one-paragraph briefly describing the applicant and her credentials.  Please include the applicant's full name, address, local phone number, best time to be contacted, and the name of her parents or guardians.  All photographs shall be returned upon request.
